the narcissist
where do I start? I guess here...He once told me that before high school, he got a copy of the yearbook. He picked out his friends, the sports he would play, even his girlfriend. He chose a new name for himself. And he proudly told me it all played out exactly as he'd planned. I used to think this was an inspiring story and that I'd won the lottery to be with him. That I was so lucky to be married to such an innovative, genius guy. Until i realized our life was also an illusion. It was a life he fabricated in his head and removed me from on paper through sneaky tactics. When the mask finally dropped and I realized who he really was..it was way to late. I was married to a pathological narcissist.
